Ingredients: '06, Berger 115gr Target, IMR 3031 & IMR 4320

In search of a decent recipe. I'd like to work up a load for a box of Berger 115gr Target but as it's the only Berger I bullet I have on the shelf, I don't have their reloading data manual. Anyone have Berger's starting and max for IMR-3031 or IMR-4320? I've got slower powders to choose from but suspect the little slugs might like something faster..

Thank you!

Assuming this is 30/06 they don't list IMR3031 or 4320. IMR4064 is pretty close and they list start 50.0 Gr and Max 55.4 Gr. Maybe this helps some.

Thank you. Good to know it's not listed there.

What do you all think of the safety of using a source such as Shooters Reference? They have listings for both powders for 110gr and 120gr (diff. manufacturer). They also have the exact bullet listed, but not with the powder I have.

The entry for 125gr has a range of 54,0 - 57.5 grains of 4320. There are similar entries for IMR-3031 as well.

So - more broadly is there a safe way forward? For example, working up a load using 4320, and starting with 54gr and ending at 57.5 while watching for pressure signs?

Thanks everyone,

Mark

My Hornady book says this for 3031: start 47.1gn up to 53.5gn max for the 110gn bullets. 41.1gn up to 50.4gn max for 130gn bullets.

I personnaly have shot 45gns of 3031 behind a 155gn Sierra Matchking out of a 30-06 with good results.
