I can’t wait any longer for the full system so
I’m just going to get the powder meter for now and use a manual powder dispenser for the bulk drop. Ideally I’d like to set up my manual thrower directly over the scale.

Besides the ingenuity powder meter v1,v2,v3 upgrade, with the motor, fx120i scale, powder cup and the area 419 lid is there anything else needed to run it? I’m assuming I don’t need the v3 electronics? Area 419 auto trickler self centering tray?

I’ve had my Ingenuity trickled for about a year. I use V3 electronics on my FX120i but V2 should work just fine. I drop the main charge (about one gn short) manually with my Harrell powder measure. The Ingenuity works great. The only problem I had was powder bouncing out of the glass cup. This was solved with a small piece of plastic tubing on the end of the feed tube. When I get it “tuned” it’s really fast and accurate.

i like the looks of that ingenuity trickler-- i now have a mcdonald i use with a redding measure and an AD. the ingenuity looks better - dont think i would need the whole unit either

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the V3 electronics are required. I'll have to double check the email I got from Paul regarding this. It'll probably take some digging, since it was a couple years ago, but I'm sure I still have it somewhere.

Any of the Auto Trickler electronics can be used with the Ingenuity Trickler, if using the trickler alone you could use the V1, V2 or V3 electronics. If you want to use in conjunction with one of the Auto Trickler throwers you can use the V2 or V3 electronics. I'll have to look, I may have an extra V1 electronics board.

You just replace the rotary trickler with the Ingenuity. The electronics don’t know which apparatus the stepper motor they are controlling is attached to. So, if you already have an AutoTrickler, just use the app and you’re good to go.

I don’t have an auto trickler. All I have is a RCBS charge master. So like I originally posted I was just going to bulk drop with a manual dropper and trickle up with the IP

Yea, I get that. He's really a good dude, just some issues with production. I'm pretty sure you can buy the trickler part with controls to do what you're wanting. But I'm unsure if he still sells it with a separate stand or if they only come with the scale cover mount now. You'd have to find someone who has an older version with the stand and then add his electronics. This is all assuming you have a scale that is compatible as well. I assume you know this won't work with a chargemaster.

If you are using V1 or V2 electronic board you just input load through the scale, if you are using the V3 board there is an app.

Yes you can get a stand alone keypad and electronics if you get the IP electronics with the trickler, then all you need is the dropper when he finally releases it.

You can use a V2 or V3 Board with a thrower and IG Trickler or a V1 board if you just want the Trickler. The IG Trickler will work with all of the Auto trickler boards.
