IMR7828ssc in the straight 284 winchester

Have anyone try this powder in the straight 284 win with the Berger 180grs. bullets.
Any load data and other info is greatly appreciated..

have not tried it. but have shot plenty of 7828 ssc in heavy magnums and it is a great powder

TonyR likes that powder in his Shehane, maybe he will chime in.

After seeing TonyR's posts about it, I tried 7828 SSC in my .284 Shehane. I was too pressed for time and went with H4831 SC instead, but the velocities from 7828 SSC were much better. It is pretty dense and should work fine in .284 Win.

Here is a quick OCW test I shot with 175g SMKs and IMR7828SSC. The listed charges and velocities are listed on the target. That is with a 30" Shilen barrel on a MRC 1999 action. I would assume you could drop down 3 grains and work back up till you see pressure.
