Has anyone tried this powder with the .284 Win. to just see what it will do? I have some and was thinking of trying it with 162-168 grain bullets. Does anyone think this is a waste of my time?

Well... the folks at Hodgdon have, as it's listed on their rifle cartridge data page:

- but with bullets from 100 to 139 grains. Might be a tad on the fast side to get the best performance with your 160+ bullets.

It's great stuff & I admit it's a current favorite of mine in four different (3 different 6mm's & .308 for Palma) rifle cartridges but use a little care when working up loads as it's fairly dense. Filling a case may not be a wise practice particularly where heavy bullets are used in a chamber that needs them to be seated well into the case.
