IMR 4320 ???

Checking Vitavouri's burn rate chart you couldn't find a closer match to Varget. Haven't used it in a 6Br.....yet. But very temp stable & consistent in other cartridges I've shot. You're not the only one that can't find Varget >:(

Dont be afraid to try Leverevolution. Its burn rate is right there with Varget. I have tested it in 308 and it worked pretty well. I picked up an 8# jug via the net just the other day just in case I run out of Varget.
Its still available because most people wont think to try it because its marketed to the Lever action folks.

On the imr website, they dont list imr4320 for any loads. They suggest xmr8208.

IMR 4320, well kept secret, older powder that has been overshadowed by todays "HOT NEW" powders. Tried it with 85 gr in 6 br works very well, and is great in a 22 250 or 22 250 ai, tried it in 6.5x47L with light bullets and was accuate, plus it meters well and normally easy to get. Velocity may not be the top of the heap, but accuracy is very good for me, I do not push for the top velocity but more interested in accuracy, "Getting to the target real fast don't mean too much if you don't hit the target, you just have a real fast miss."

Leverolution. !!!

I wouldn't have thought of it either. I just saw a dozen cans of it down the road.
It was about all he had left. That and some clays

I know I know. Seems silly but it works I have done it. Like IMR4320 its right in that burn rate.
It seems to be the only thing available out there right now. And it works.

Just sayin.

I agree about the AR-Comp. Seems to be easy to tune. I had a very accurate load using 168 NBT's in my .308. 42.8grns went .116" for three shots at 100yds and 1.5" at 718yds. The ES if I remember correctly was 3fps with an SD of 2fps. It seems to be pretty stable with temperature change also. I like the powder, but just didn't give the velocity. I also agree to not try and use Varget load weights. I find it to be more around IMR4895 burn rate.

IMR 4320 is an excellent powder in .308. No reason why it would not work well in 6BR. Bruce Hodgdon suggested recently when Paul interviewed him that IMR 4064 was a good substitute for Varget. Either one would be fine in my book.
