Notice about U.S. Fullbore Nationals/SOA
F-Class shooters will be allowed to change rifle/calibers during the U.S. Fullbore Nationals/SOA, a Match Directors Bulletin will be posted to that effect at the championships.
The wording will be similar to this:
The NRA International Fullbore Prone Rifle Rules and the F-Class rules in Section 22 of the NRA International Fullbore Prone Rifle Rules will apply for F-Class shooters, except that Rule 9.1 concerning changing rifles is modified for this championship to allow changing rifles and calibers for F-Class competitors. F-Class shooters will be allowed to change rifles/calibers between stages of a match.
Of course F/TR competitors are restricted to .223’s and .308 per NRA IFBR rule 3.4,b).
This was done to conform to common practices at F-Class matches in the past and to allow shooters to save a lot of money by not wearing out L-R barrels at shorter distances. Half of the shooting at t he Fullbore Nationals will be at the Mid-range distances.
