Improving "split times"

Excellent vid. Highly recommended. I could see it helping target acquisition and hold, even in my dry fire.

Haven't watched the video yet, and not really a fan of longer ones like this, so not sure if this is addressed.

In my very limited experience shooting things like plates and pins, and while being timed with an electronic timer, I've found that my splits shrink with each transition, which is great.......until I miss. I am primarily a bullseye shooter, so I don't train for this kind of shooting, but plate and pin matches are fun. I find that when I really get going, it's that fifth or sixth plate that I miss, and when you look at the splits on the timer, that miss was always the shortest split. I think there is a degree of mental discipline needed to resist that urge to speed up too much.

Looks like a neat video though, I'll watch it in a few sittings.

Same for me. I'll start great, but thin , miss , in the next or next to last plate on the rack.

I attribute that to lack of focus on my part.

One thing I am working on on transitions is after I squeeze off a round, I move my eyes to the next plate before moving the gun.

This video addresses how we get aggressive on the trigger and don't end up moving the gun off target for a miss.

I haven't watched the whole video either... lol... i hope it addresses the important of a semi.Auto's recoil spring to return to the target... and not above the target or below the target. The video definitely says we want a twelve o'clock to 6 o'clock recoil pattern.
