Some FFLs will take the MO and hold it until the gun/receiver shows up, then mail it out.. that way you have a 3rd party handling both sides of the deal...

No FFL that I know of will want to get involved in a 3rd parties payment process on a transfer but I appreciate you being solution oriented @atombomb
