I'm a doofus, please remind me!

As the topic said, please excuse me for not remembering information I've already been given here. I'm old, on pain meds (not at the range), and I forget stuff.

I bought a Savage LRPV a while back in 6mm Norma Benchrest. It was hard to find components, so I bought 100 Lapua cases and started picking up 4895 powder and Varget when I could find it - went a long time without primers, and then the SHTF; I got my foot tangled up in something (coverlet, or the drag bag loop under my bed, and I managed to center the sharp bottom part of my chest of drawers with my L-1 vertebrae, which it of course crushed. That was Sept 2023, and I still have trouble walking - but, I can go downstairs to the "gun room" and full-size my 6 BM cases (which has been often recommended), and bought a bench for upstairs for the rest of the reloading process.

I just ordered the full-sized die, die body and tapered neck expander from L E Wilson, but I seem to remember that I need some kind of inside-the-neck reamer from K&R - but I forget the angle specified. Can someone lend a hand?

I see your thread is quiet, so I will stir the pot a little.
Maybe I didn't follow your question really well, because it doesn't sound right to me.

A factory Savage barrel in 6 BR Norma probably doesn't need neck turning, but I could be wrong if the barrel is custom or special.

If this is a regular factory 6 BR Norma, then you should be able to load with brass as it comes, so no inside reamers or neck turn tooling with angles are required.

Most of the Savage 6 BR Norma barrels I have seen are an 8 twist, so they are happy with some of the heavier bullets like the Berger 105 Hybrid or Sierra 107 for example. You can go lighter too.

When you are feeling better, circle back if you still have questions but work on getting better first. You really don't want to play with loading or guns when you are in pain or on meds. Speedy Recovery.

Ive been down the pain med route. With certainty I can say that they offer a certain degree of certainty of judgement that certainly isnt real.

If you can follow that, your pain meds are probably not keeping you out of pain.

Don't load when using pain meds. Really.
