My boy gave me a Christmas gift card to our local Sportsmen's Warehouse, and
needing primers and powder for the new 7BR build, I went to have a look. Always
nice not having to pay extra for shipping and HAZ......Primer wise, I lucked out. They
keep the primers behind the counter now and you have to ask. No Federal small rifle
primers but did have one lone brick of CCI BR4's which I snagged for $116. Card was
for $50 bucks, so a cheap date at $66 bucks, tax included......Powder on the other hand
was real bare on the shelves. No Vhitavouri of any flavor at all, and what I was looking
for. There was mostly Hodgdon powders but only in the real slow rifle powders or a few
pistol powders. Their prices were between $68 to $74 bucks......Then there were two one
pounders of R-7 with price tags of $82.97 each !! And would be a bit more adding in the
Pa. 6% sales tax......So if you really need it ??
