It's odd how 6.5 CM does get hated on. I guess it became too much of a fad and all the fan boys ran out and got 1. I got mine 2008... Which to my reading is about a year after the caliber hit the market and have loved it ever since

1:8 twist should stabilize anything up to and including 147s.

Running generic standard default numbers with the 123 ELD-M through QL it looks like RL17 and RL16 are going to be top performers and of those two, I'd easily pick RL16 over RL17.

RL17 can make good speed but is very temp sensitive and can be hard on barrels.

Hey Garandman, my opinion, the 6.5Lap is a little more accurate but maybe not enough to make a difference on steel. For more accuracy and more choices in real good bullets, the 6-6.5X47, 6XC and of course any and all the 6BR and derivatives. Just my opinion.
