ideas for funnel and drop tube stand?

Does anyone have stand for a funnel and drop tube. Im tired of weighing, holding funnel and brass. Really dont want to drill holes in my table also. I weigh charges ,iv never had any kind of lock with a powder measure. Not sure why , but my groups suck when iv used a measure.

Just some ideas. As far as holding the brass 'cnc shooter' Tom Sziler makes some serious cartridge holding blocks from aluminum for any cartridge. Once they are in the holes there is no need to support them. They also are a work of art.

What kind of powder measure are you using?

OK......Are you dropping directly in the case from the measure into the funnel or into a pan and then funnel and drop tube?
I've been successful with the cases in the block and I use (Forster?) funnel and tube with ends for particular calibers. That stays on the case and I throw into the pan. This is with a 25 year old Redding. Then into the funnel it goes. No problems.......however I dislike using plastic funnels and use an aluminum one. The only thing I try to
do is be consistent as possible with the handle on the throw. Meaning it's a real SNAP up and then the same down.
4831 and the likes get the chop. I hope I am understanding your problem. (The dislike of plastic funnels is from respect for static electricity).
I do check the weight thrown occasionally and it is fine.....hope this helps and I have not misunderstood.

Im dropping in the case from the measure as of now. But my weights are all over the place. .

If all you want is a simple "third hand" type holder for the funnel/drop tube, just get a piece of flat metal from your local hardware store or Home Depot/Lowes. Put a bend on both ends. Drill a hole to hold the drop tube on one end and a hole for a screw to secure the bottom end to the bench (or use a C-Clamp).

To keep the drop tube from rising up in the stand when you hold a case under it, just wrap a couple of 0-Rings around it and roll them up against the bottom of the stands drop tube hole.

A tip, drill the holes before you bend the flat metal then do the bending in a vise.

I thought I might need a stand, but this set-up is free standing.
