Is there an ideal reamer for the 6.5x47 using the 130gr Berger's !!!!!

The one Jon Beanland uses. Think it has .170fb

I have ran several thousand through Jon’s chambers. My first was the .167, and I’m now using the .170 but as far as I know that’s the only difference. I shoot 130 Hybrids and I can get 1.5” at 600 regularly, sometimes sub 1”. These are hunting rifles with #5 barrels. Impressive enough for me. I see no reason to explore other dimensions.

I sent a few dummy rounds to JGS with 130 VLD Targets seated pretty deep but safely away from the donut area. The reamer print that I got from them has a .145" freebore.

Yes Sir! If you are shooting the Berger 130 VLD or the Berger 140LRBT the correct freebore is .145. If you are going to shoot 140 Hybrids or 142 SMKs a .170 freebore is necessary! JGS got it right!

If you want to keep 130 VLD's at an OAL to fit a 2.800" 700 mag with room to spare, .123" freebore is the answer.

130 Berger VLD seated about this much in the lands at 2.735" OAL:
