IBS Rookie of the year

Congrats to Brent Cook for winning the IBS Rookie of the year title. It was well deserved, he and Kevin Clark had a hard fought battle for the title. Congrats to both on a great year of shooting! You both have a bright future in this game and we are better for ya'lls participation in this game. I have shot with Brent and his wife Nikki all year and they are wonderful people, I met Kevin and his wife at the nationals and they both seemed to be great folks as well. We are lucky to have them join our sport.

Thanks Steve, I appreciate that. Kevin is definitely a tough guy to run against and Julz wasn't to far behind us either.

Now, If I can just learn how to read what a D**N wind flag is trying to say to me, then maybe, I can compete with yall top notch shooters one day.

You had a great year and I think you are getting fluent in windflag speak pretty quick! ;) You and Nikki have a great off season and we will see ya'll in the spring if the good Lord is willing and the creeks don't rise.

Even though Brent and his wife Nicki are new to the IBS this year all of us consider them family.
They both shot well this season, but Brent shot the year with a non traditional rifle.
He was shooting a Begara action, Hart 14 twist barrel and 115 Berger bullets smithed by Miles Gibby not the usual setup you would expected to have won rookie of the year.
Look out next year he's making some changes.

It appears that Kevin Clark has won the 6power title for this year. Numbers not finalized. Congrats young man on a great year of shooting. Quite an accomplishment especially for a rookie! ;)
Congratulations Kevin!!
Kevin joined our club up here in Vermont a few years ago…he’s come a long way in short time!
Proud of ya buddy!

Brent is absolutely deserving of the rookie of the year title! For most of the year, I only saw Brent Cook and Julz Hancock as names I wanted to stay ahead of and people I would probably never meet. I got to meet both of them at the 200-300 nationals in North Carolina and again at the 100-200 nationals where I spoke more with them. Very good people, no question about it! After the BBQ match in Connecticut when I knew I didn’t grab enough points to catch Brent, I sent him a message to let him know and congratulate him on a great season. I very much look forward to shooting with Brent, Julz, and all the other awesome people I had the opportunity to meet this year. Congratulations again Brent, you certainly earned it!
