IBS Matches Come to Memphis, TN

Hi All,

Wanted to let everyone know that we have our new sanction with the IBS in Memphis, TN at the Memphis Sport Shooting Association. This will be our first year to shoot 600 yards under the IBS rules. The first shoot is the 18th of this month and would like to invite everyone to come join us at least one time this year. This first match and four others will award Shooter of the Year Points. We recently added 12 new benches for a total of 24 and doubled the firing line to 160 feet. We're really excited about the new improvements and making more through 2012.

Lots of lodging and restaurants within five miles of the range. The range is located only three miles north of I-40 about 20 miles east of down town Memphis.

David, thank you and Mike Moses for putting on what might be the best long range match for me to date. The match ran professionally and am sure it was planned to do so. The first one is now under you guys belt, and all of the guys who drive and compete will be happy to know how well the first one went off. Thanks for your and Mikes time and efforts, Tim Claunch

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend but would love to hear about the match. How many shooters, and how did the match go ?

It ran smoooth as buttermilk. The head count was mid/upper 20`s. I only heard 1 complaint and that was about mud. The whole area is to be cleared for the trees for extra parking and then gravelled. I`m very proud of the range and now how well it is run.

Don't have the equipment list finished yet. But I still have 6-7 hours before bedtime!

Didn't want every body to have to wait too long. Hopefully I'll have them to IBS with the equipment list tomorrow. I think D. Grosbier will get them out there pretty quick.

And by the way....Thanks to everybody that came! I hope we have two relays about full on 4-22.
