I just saw on the IBS website that the election results were posted.
It appears all the agenda items passed but there was a change in the presidents position.

So the SR Group Nationals location will be determined Saturday at the annual meeting?

It sounds like if you don’t want to be recognized for a world record or acquire SOY points, you no longer need to be a member of the IBS to shoot an IBS registered match. Correct me if I interpreted the rule change wrong. It will save a lot of people $45, but might be the ultimate demise of the organization for short range matches. Why would a club want to host a registered match, with all the rules and stuff.

It was designed as I heard to encourage someone to try an IBS match without having to join. As a non member their score isn’t part of the official match standings. I don’t see it as a threat to IBS membership just the opposite. Think you have a friend, you loan him a competitive rifle and he gives the discipline a whirl to see if it’s for him or her.

The IBS Longe Range Rule Book has allowed non IBS members to participate in their matches since the comprehensive rewrite of 2015-2016. Any non IBS member may not earn SOY points or accept any IBS supplied awards or trophies with the exception of Williamsport Members that attend our National Championship. The purpose of the recently passed LR Agenda #3 was to remove any perceived ambiguity about the IBS Long Range communities position on this matter. The IBS Long Range discipline has always encouraged new shooters and shooters from the other disciplines to come and try LR Benchrest. Our overall goal is tough competition during the matches and a great time before and after.
Hope this helps

Dave. Nobody bid on it this year. Cline is going to ask around is somebody is willing to hold a 2 day 2 gun Nationals Match which will eliminate 2 classes of guns or a 3 day 3 gun match which will eliminate the Unlimited Class if it's a 3 gun.
