IBS 600 yard Colorado State Championship 2022

Western Colorado Rifle and Silhouette Club hosted the 2022 600 yard Colorado State IBS Match this weekend.

With the remnants of Tropical Storm Rosa sailing in with a vengeance, our shooters and target crew were tested for sure.

We have the privilege of shooting with some of the best folks in the nation. No complaints coupled with steady and strong performance, amazing gentlemen indeed!

For you kind readers that are unfamiliar with Western Colorado, the valley floor has little to no vegetation. On a normal year, 8.5 to 9" of rain is all we get...... kinda tough to grow grass in 100*F without moisture. With that said, when it rains and you walk in the mud, you grow 2" in height.

Day one started with LG, we then shot Tactical, and finished with HG.

I forgot to mention,

Tharron Pace only shot LG and Tactical on Saturday. After the match, he said he didn't like skipping out on shooting the HG class. So on Sunday, he brought another rifle

a PPC

yep you read that correctly! Tharron shot a PPC with 66gr bullets at a 600 yard BR match. The conditions were horrible, and he finished mid-pack in score.
I think that is pretty cool.
