Add high winds and fierce mirage to make the tough conditions at Manatee even tougher. In spite of all this Steve Krauss ruled the day.
Visitor from Louisiana, Sonny Korner, was too cold to light his cigar but tops in Heavy Gun Score.
One DQ was a bit funny. John Granauro got an idea on how to keep his ammo warm. He brought a hair dryer and heated things up before shooting. Guessing that did not suit his barrel tune as he ended up with a perfect score. 10 shots on two targets where the mirage made it impossible at times to even see the sighter plate. John used his idea to shoot a perfect ZERO. Guess his barrel tune was not happy with the "hot shots".
Final result sheets are below. They show some small groups and high scores, some DQ's for different reasons but no disputed issues with scoring and number of shots on target. Our backers worked again. It all made for good times in cold times with some hot scoring thrown in.
