IBS 2021 600 Kicked Off at Manatee

Really do think it was the Ben Roethlisberger game shirt I spilled coffee on early in the morning that gave me the motivation. Add on the Roy's 108's to win LG and the Roy's 103A's to take a second in HG. I need help and all that was welcome.

Nice turn-out under good conditions at Manatee. From the invocation through the awards at the end, it was near a perfect match. Yes... Alex Linn, Tom Anderson and Steve Krauss were close to the top in a hard-fought match. That's the beauty of IBS and the beauty of Manatee,



Had to prove to one shooter his LG was NOT. Always remember to have check weights with you. On a similar idea there were four targets with what looked like four holes. One was a five, determined without but confirmed with the backers we are now using. The other three were four- hole DQ's with no arguments after looking at the backers. So far, so good on that issue.

Good shooting but the 2 Gun is calculated incorrectly. Looks like you guys used the old scoring program which no longer correctly calculates the 2 Gun.
At a quick glance it should go something like this.

1 Larry Malinoski 3
2 Tom Anderson 5
3 Steve Krauss 7
4 John Granauro 10
5 Alex Linn 11

No and yes. I had an issue with Roy's 108's and seating depth. I defaulted to Berger 108's in LG at RWB. Not blaming them for my ordinary LG results as I also had an issue early on with bench 4 and being able to lower my front rest enough or raise the back one. By the time I sorted it out things had gone south.

What was the issue? Alzheimers. I recorded the wrong information on seating depth for them and instead of a .004" jam did a .034" jump. Used that in the shoot the week before and stunk it up.

Both in RWB and Manatee in HG I used Roy's 103A's. At Manatee I totally missed a major wind change with mirage by reading a flag backwards. Not only did I do that but Alex Linn and Steve Krause did the same. Us dummies all shot up in the 8 ring at 1 o'clock. Mine were so close I could see the problem through the scope, solved the issue and corrected for target 4. What saved me is my group was 2'' in that 8 and 9 ring and you could see some of it through the mirage.

BART. I know nothing about how Al's team works the computer programs. I will right now tell him to get on here and maybe contact you and the IBS to figure the scoring things out.

Larry "Captain Mal" also did a great job in helping to run the match and with some help put up the target line on Friday PM. He never brags about his great shooting, instead just offers to help wherever he can. Great shooting Larry and even a better guy. Thanks.

MUCH THANKS to Bart Sauter for his knowledge and alert on Manatee using the old IBS program on Two Gun Overall Results. The above sheets are from the correct program. Clare, our ABS Manatee computer statistician, answered the call and figured out this issue.

Here are the revised results sheet that will be submitted. Top two are the same with the same IBS points. Third went to Steve, who now gets two points. Fourth went to Big John, who now gets a point. Alex Linn does not get points with the corrected program.

I will notify those involved and our local group. Thanks again Bart, Clare and Al Benarroch for helping to sort the error out.
