IBS 200-300 Score Nationals

300 yards was kinder to for sure. This is a great range to shoot but tough as nails. Little switches will get you in a heartbeat.

A good weekend on a challenging range. Very good turnout and lots of friendly competition. From my perspective, the shoot ran like a well tuned swiss watch. With only 12 benches it was a challenge but everyone was courteous to their fellow shooters when breaking down a bench and moving equipment. Alice Bean Andrenyak took over the target crew boss job and got things down so well that the crew was back safely behind the range before the next relay was ready to shoot...that's changing targets and taping backers. We started at 09:00 and finished at 15:00 on Saturday. Sunday began at 08:00 and finished a bit after 14:00. 36 VFS and 10 six power shooters. Efficiency was the word, and thanks to all who helped put on this event, the first time Maine has hosted a 200/300.

Joe and Sandy, a distinct pleasure meeting you both and sharing stories and experiences in this sport. Hope to X paths with you down the road. --Greg

As Greg said, this match was well run indeed. Damariscotta is a tough range to shoot especially the first time around. But if this sport was easy, everyone would be doing it.
I had a blast there and Sandy and I got to meet and visit with a bunch of good folks that we otherwise would never have met. It was indeed an enjoyable weekend with both old and new friends. Just a shame it is so fsr from home.
