IBA Rifle

Does anyone have an opinion or first hand knowledge of the Iron Brigade Armory sniper rifles. Very costly but are they worth the big $? How do they compare to others on the market?

I would go with another vendor and yes I have extensively handled two examples of Chandler's work in the past. He talks a good story, but ...

I have a "IBA" M40 LR rifle. It is a .308win with a 26" Hart 6 groove barrel,McMillan A5 stock and a NightForce NXS 5.5-22x50 scope. I can't say if they are "worth the money" but I wouldn't give mine up. It the most consistently accurate rifle I own. And it is built like a tank.

20 rds at 300yds bi-pod and sandbag. There was a 1" paster in the middle when I started.

5rds 100yds off sandbags.
I have shot at a 12" steel plate with it out to 1000 hit it all afternoon long.

IBA rifles are built to be field rifles, not target rifles. The ones I have seen are accurate and built solid. I know several of the guys that have worked their and all of them I know are good gun builders. That being said, I would not pay the money for one. I have no need for an M40 clone as I don't beat on my rifles quite as bad. Just my 2 cents.
