Anyone remember when they put cool stickers in the boxes? I got a free Hat many years ago. Walt was still alive when they did this.

I won a box of Berger Bullets at the NRA Exhibits in Houston in 2022. I had a Berger sticker on my insulated coffee mug while wandering about, and one of their Reps stopped me and told me to go directly to their kiosk. He called his partner there and told her I was on my way.
She took my info/address and asked which flavor I wanted. Box arrived a week later, and truly made my day.

It made a wonderful college graduation present, 2-year hitch in the Army.

But seriously, I am not complaining, it was a positive experience, and I was fortunate to not be deployed to Nam. I think most would benefit from serving a term in the US military.

I don't mind waiting now days at 86, for things. Too many of my friends have passed on and do not have that opportunity.

I won a radio contest for a vinyl LP (CSN&Y, if I remember right) in the late 70's. Had to go from Oakland to SF to pick it up. I'm sure I spent more doing that than if I had purchased the album new in Berkeley (records were $3.99 at the time.)

Can't remember ever winning anything else.
