I happened to be in one of our local box stores and of course since I was there I had to see what might be new in sporting goods and there it was. Being a savage fan I had read about the new savage model 11 scout .308, but I'm not much of a fan of scout type rifles so I never bothered to look for one.
This one however grabbed my interest simply because it looks like a simple base change is all that's needed to put the scope back where it would work best for me. It has everything you would expect in a accurate savage rifle including the new 10rd magazine, (which loads best with 9rds if the bolt is closed).
Now seeing this wouldn't be a problem except that I have bought two new rifles in the last week and I haven't even thought about Christmas yet.
The point of this rambling on is this, have any of you gotten the new model 11 scout and if so what do you think of it?
