I Shot My First FT/R!

I got squadded up with a couple of serious veterans and I’m thankful for it. They were very patient and gave me a lot of pointers on scoring and such.

543/4X. I’m thrilled.

Congrats! Welcome to the club.

You definitely got lucky with getting Squadded with Keith, he's a hell of a great guy and pretty damn good shooter too!

Outstanding, and pretty good scores on those last 2 strings, considering the conditions. Don't 10's and x's feel good?

Unfortunately I was not on Keith's squad. I shot with two other outstanding gents. Both great shooters and generous with their knowledge.

Thank you. I improved each string as conditions deteriorated. I'm thrilled with my rifle, built by AD Arms in Michigan, and equally with myself for scoring above my initial thought of a 420 agg. All in all a really great day.

Bully for you Bully. Pun intended.. Good scores for a 600 harder with those winds, being your first and with a .223. You will do good.

I'll say welcome event though I only have one registered FTR shoot myself! (plus a bunch of local stuff)

I was 7th of 8 yesterday. I've moved into the back of the pack.
Last year I was so far behind those guys I was basically 9th of 8.
Progress!

Your wind attitude is better than mine.
I wanted to go home after the first target yesterday.
I did at least put up a better fight on the second target but the wind still won.

I look at it this way: I don't make a living by shooting. So, I'm in it for the opportunity to shoot 600yards with a scorecard.
Were you at Cumberland?

No, I'm up in western NY. I was shooting 22lr at 100yd.

Wind was hard and switchy.

Either is enough for me. The combination beat me up.
