I read in many places that for the best accuracy, bullets must be sorted...

...by bearing length. I've read about the Stony Point device and the JB comparitor, but I can't find any anywhere.

Can someone pls point me to a source for these things? I'm looking for the type that uses a caliper outside the cylindrical tool.

Jeffrey,

Hornady now sells the Stoney Pt tool. What you want are two comparator bodies with two 6mm inserts,or two of the same inserts for the caliber you're measuring).

The Inserts attach, via setscrew, to the comparator bodies. One body then goes on each jaw of your calipers. It's really pretty simple.

You can buy these units from MidwayUSA.com, Grafs.com, Midsouth Shooters--all the major vendors.

PS: Did you take all the photos on the webshots page you link to? They're great.

Wow, did that take some searching. Ordered a pair of the Sinclairs for $35... http://www.sinclairintl.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=09-600 . Thx for the pointers.

Yes those pics are all mine, shot mostly in the West. TYVM for your kind comments. All are for sale; before I turned into a 1000-yard BR shootist, I was a landscape fotografer. If anyone is interested in my pics, pls e-mail me at jeffreybehr,at)cox, dot)net. Here's one shot in the Great Smokies.
