How often do the "Range Police"do this? I'd say the odds of being checked or hassled is about the same as being locked up for doing 61 in a 60 mph zone.

Don't live in California huh. Seems everyone here has their nose firmly planted in everyone else's business, especially at the shooting range. I've had people tell me how illegal it is to have "that grenade launcher" on my bolt action rifle. It's a bipod extender and very clearly has my bipod hanging off the end. Do what I do, when B.S. Hutton talks, don't listen.

I was talking to my post master about some guns we were building. This was in the post office and a guy who immigrated from New York, New York piped in. He said we were so lucky because if you get caught talking about guns in a post office in New York City the cops will get called on you and you will likely be taken to the station house to get questioned. He said that depending on the cop they might even secure a search warrant to search your house for illegal guns.
