A failure to plan is a plan for failure.
The only thing that I like as well, from a value standpoint, is a Leupold 36 BRD. The BRD, not the earlier version. The upside is that they have super clear glass. It's really a pleasure. The downside, for me, because I shoot score, is the 1/4 MOA click value. I hate that.
If I could get 1/16 MOA, I'd like it. Even better, if I could get something the size and clarity of the LCS 45X, made on a single tube, with 1/16 MOA or better external adjustments, I'd jump on it like a goose on a june bug. But, that's just me.
I don't like the locked up scopes. I don't like that the warranty is voided. I don't like suffering the extra weight. Etc.
And, frankly, it's ugly and I'm not going to have an ugly shootin' iron. I have a good lookin' wife, I have good lookin' kids, I have a good lookin' house, I drive a good lookin' truck. Etc. I'll be danged if I'm going to shoot an ugly-azz rifle! Life is too short.
