I might be asking something something that there isn't a answer!

Hi All,
I don't post much I spend most of the time reading and forgetting what I have read in about 2 hrs or so. I had been away from rifle shooting for about 8 years or so, and now that I have so much time to read I having started playing with the rifles again! I am trying to find out where I might locate some data, is there a place where there is data on all the new cartidges? My first build was a 243WSSM AR, I have all the parts to put my 6.5 Grenndel AR toghter and now i will be picking up parts for a 260 Ackley IMP. bolt gun, I am looking for a remington 700 action. But back to what I want is data telling me what does what, like the 6mmTurbo, 6.5x45, 6.5x47L, 6.5x284, 284 Win.,300RUM, and on and on! Help!!!
I would be greatfull for any help.
Greg

Greg,
Not sure exactly what your looking for but on the home page of this site there is a lot of useful info on most cartridges you mentioned, left hand side of home page.

Like my subject matter, lets say you have a 6BR why would you get a 6BRX or the 6BRDX ??Okay then we have to throw in the 6PPC why and what. I do think that looking threw a new manual. I have this 243WSSM that is very hard to load for starting off even in the decapping stage you have to bump over as much as you can! Just like yesterday a Decapped 20 cases and tumbled so i could load and shoot today, I had forgot how far I had to bump over (different press) I know some of you would of said why didn't they decap like before, so now I have to re lube and resize again! So that ruined the day.
Anyone on here owned and shot a 260 Ackley Impoved? If so, how hard were they to deal with?
If anyone has any info for me in any of this.
I would like to here from you?

Greg,
I am not trying to be rude but I still don't really get what your getting at, but it seems like your asking how one would know about many differnt aspects of reloading and knowledge of cartridges?? your question is to broad for a simple answer, I guess you need some good reloading manuals and Cruz the net looking at gun forums and or type in specific cartridges into your search engine and it will usually give you something to go on, take a subscription to precision shootin magazine and other gun books, I really would like to help but not sure exactly how or what you really need.

I mean like why a 6brx or 6brdx over a 6br? I guess to achieve 100-150 fps more velocity on the 6brx and to achieve 75 -100 fps and gain a 40 degree shoulder on the 6brdx, is that the kind of info your looking for.

I suggest a check sheet or something, one must focus while reloading or a big accident will occur, it sounds to me like you really need to just sit down and read the reloading manual to start with, then maybe buy some more advanced books on reloading after you read a basic speer or Hornaday reloading manual, a lot of your questions on different cartridges could also be answered right there, I hope this helps some and again I am not trying to be unhelpful or rude, just the opposite actually.
