I just have to say "I have it made!!!"

As the thread states, this is only me bragging to the world. But, how many shooter's have a spouse that, upon knowing they need a bunch of reloading equipment to get back into long range prone, would go ahead and buy it for them? My wife bought me my SS media tumbler with spare drums for moly coating bullets, Giraud case and meplat trimmer, Bullet Tipping's bullet pointer and Ballistic Edge's 400 annealer!!! AND she's helping me get my Elisio R5 ready for next season across the course!!! AND she wants to start shooting too........... I got it made...........

Hey, that is cool. you better be careful, she might start shooting better than you in front of your buddy's. A couple of weeks ago I told my wife about a rifle I found and she told me to go ahead and buy it. I waited two days, and asked her several more times, because I thought I was being set up for something. I didn't know if she was being smart with me or what to expect. needless to say I bought it. So far it hasn't cost me any shoes yet either.

i been trying to turn my wife of 18yrs into a spotter! AS of now,I'm better off with my labs noses :) to find the LR Groundhog hits!

just sucks when i miss! i don't know how far, high.low? etc.... she does work the skeet buttons rather well :)

the true keeper is a good spotter ;D

what say you?

The true keeper is the one that loves you just the way you are!!!!

And still puts up with our obsessions, and keeps the fort clean/secure when we are gone playing, etc..

Congrats to you Schumi... But I gotta ask, what does she have planned??? ;D

ahhh, so I was just informed that the pair of shoes she ordered are supposed to be delivered today!!! come to think of it, I think she needs more shoes, so I can buy more guns. If I could just get her to like shooting like all of you guys have done!!!!! maybe you guys have some good ideals for getting my wife into benchrest??????? hey, I would even settle for getting her to go fly fishing. any tips???? fly fishing may be out for now, I went a couple of weeks ago after some brookies. she asked me why I was home early. mentioned the black bear wanted them more, I only had a pocket knife, so the bear won.

Well, everything is finally here. All because of my wife. Now I got to buy here a horse!!! ;)

Elisio R5, Pierce action, Lilja barrel chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua

Prone 6.5x284

The reason she bought you all that stuff is because she didn't want any grief from you when she bought that horse. By the way what kind of horse?

The question is why did you go with an Eliseo R-5 for 6.5 x 47 when you could have gone with an RTS? What am I missing?

Kindest regards,

Joe

Haha..... Should've known the responses I'd get!!! Wife loves them too. We already have horses. I know what they cost. And she goes to the range with me to shoot. And I ride horses with her. She rides in dressage competition.

She wants a lusitano that costs $30,000. I went with the R5 because of the open end magazine. That way I don't have to worry about C.O.L in a box magazine. Encountered that before. Of course this cartridge is short.

Beautiful Spanish horse those Luisitanos, they get white as they age don't they? I'm not sure who I envy more you or her.

My wife, Sara, started shooting IBS score matches with me in 1996. It has been one of the great pleasures, in my life, to travel and compete with and, against her. She loads all of her own ammo, takes all her gear to the line, cleans her own rifle and helps on the target crew at our matches at Thurmont, Md.
She's the only woman to have ever been IBS Score Shooter of the Year. We shoot in the now nearly dead Varmint Hunter class. I'm trying real hard to get her interested in making some bullets for us but so far, that job falls on Fred & I. Not a mistake to take the wife shooting.
