I Have This Old Spotting Scope

I have a spotting scope that I purchased at a gun show about 30 years ago. Always wondered what brand it was. The previous owner painted it black over a turquoise color. It looks to be either a Bushnell or Bosh and Lomb. The color might help in the identification. I would say it is 25 power. There are no markings on it at all. It would be nice to find a higher power screw in eye piece. Any
ideas?

It is an old Kowa TS-1. A very good spotting scope. I have 2 examples of the straight version, the TS-2. The fixed 25x eyepiece is the most desirable eyepiece for those scopes.

Kowa produced the original Spacemaster for Bushnell. It was a rebranded TS-2. I have never seen a Spacemaster built using the TS-1 body. If your TS-1 was built today, to the same standard, it would be a $1,200 scope.

25x is as perfect as it gets for watching mirage, which is why the 25x eyepiece was so popular with competitors.
