I have stripped the hex head on the front action screw!!

I'd done a pillar bedding job on this 700 McMillan stock. Later on, the owner buys a torque wrench....because Gawd knows you have to have a number value assigned to every gun fastener.....:rolleyes:

Then he calls with"...a problem". He lumps it on over here and sheepishly shows me the front action screw. :eek: I smiled and said: "It looks like you just found out that lbs/ft is 12 times more than lbs/inch".

Converted the bottom metal to take button headed cap screws.
