Hydro dipping question

Guys, going to give hydro dipping a stock a try. YouTube vids (yeah, I know) show doing it half at a time. Is this the best way or can the stock be dipped and be completely covered in one operation? This is an H.S. varmint I got cheap off of ebay.

The few small items I've done and the rifle stocks I've had done are all dipped once, upside down so that the seam line forms on the bottom.

Like al said you gotta plan for the seam and if the top has a large area it wont go all the way over- that may be why you see them do half. Look at a few factory gun stocks and find the seams to get a plan together- each style seems to be dipped different, i guess according to the dipper’s experience or due to dipping a bunch at once on a rack

The video where a bolt action rifle stock was done, he masked one side right down the middle with paper and tape, laid it on it's side when dipping and then repeated the process for the other side. A seam showed right down the middle of the bottom of the stock. It looked good, like a factory job. I'm leaning toward not reinventing the wheel and just do it that way.

Got 'er done. Made the rookie mistakes, water temp not right, not enough activator, dip too fast, dip too slow, didn't know the stock was buoyant, DUH, etc.
Did a little touchup with a brush. Didn't worry about the seam on the stock. Did the barrel in one dip. Same with the floorplate. Need to know the correct paint base color to get optimum results. Not 100% but as we used to say in Philly, fifty miles an hour going down Broad Street, you'll never know the difference.;)
