HV 100 in the 260 with 123s

Hey guys just wanted to toss this out. I bought a pound of HV100 I was going to use in my 243 but decided to throw a few rounds togeather for my 260 to try out.

I only loaded 3 rounds each of 45, 44, and 43grs to see what it would do. I shot the 45gr load a while back mainly to see if it would be to hot and honestly can't remember how it shot at 400yds so I only had the 44 and 43gr loads to play with but getting back to the topic. I was cronographing loads for my 260 yesterday an shot these across the cronograph just to see what they were doing.

I was testing Varget, H4350, and N160 with the 123s. All my loads were in the 2980 to 3000fps range with both rifles. I then shot the HV100 load with 44grs and it came across at 3060fps and shot a bug hole at 100yds the 43grs shot 3020 something FPS but not as good a group.,Now remember this was only 3 rounds) I will be loading more up this weekend if the weather holds.

The 45.5grs of N160 shot around 3020fps with the 123s in both rifles. The 40.5grs of Varget shot right at 2990 to 3000fps in both rifles. Hope this helps anyone looking for data on 123s.
