Husqvarna 9.3x57

I made an impulse buy today, a Husqvarna 9.3x57 from Simpsons. I was told it had a like-new bore so, for $400 and a bit, I couldn't say no.

I want to load 238 gr Norma loads if possible - I am 70 and I want to keep the recoil down. Does anyone know where these bullets might be in stock? I'm not having much luck. Lapua makes a 9.3 185 gr that would suit my purposes, but I don't know if that short a bullet would stabilize. COTW lists nothing below 238.

would it be feasible to use the projectiles for 9.3x72r?

Does anyone know of a safe, cast bullet load for this caliber? I mostly shoot paper, so velocity/expansion are not really an issue.

Last but not least, I have never owned a 9.3x57 before. If anyone has experience with this caliber, I'm all ears.

Norma makes a 232 oryx and 232 vulkan bullets but nothing in 235 gr. I had great results with the 240 gr hammer in my 9.3x62.

I love old guns that are made by companies you wouldn't expect like that. Guy that works for me has an IBM 30 Carbine.

I use 8x57 brass for my Husqvarna 9.3x57’s. Hawk makes 200 grain bullets that shoot well in my rifles and greatly reduces felt recoil. I’ve used h4895 and imr 4064. Good luck, they are fun to shoot and bring back to life.

@jambrdly , Let me check Friday afternoon, (26 July). I have a couple of boxes of Norma Vulcan 220 grain, some PPU 186 grain, some Norma cases, and a used (Hornady?) die set in a box. I'll do a count and see if you want any of it.
I also collected every scrap of 9.3 x 57 reloading data available a few years back. I will dig out the Word or pdf file and can send it to you. Far, far more data than COW and mostly common powders and common bullets we have in the USA.
