For the past few years my wife has been shooting a Rem 700 in 6/250. Just recently she also started shooting a 204 Ruger. She's a very successful shot with both.
Problem is that due to an eye problem, she's been shooting more and more left handed. So, a little while back she bit the bullet and bought a left handed 270 Rem 700. Whilst it initially felt strange, she's now adapted to it to the point that the other rifles feel odd, and she'd now like to move to all left hand rifles. And, the choice in left hand factory rifles is pretty dismal.
I'm quite happy to buy her something really decent, and one rifle that we are considering is the HS Precision. Her use is mostly in the field. She occasionally shoots paper, but mainly for load development. It will be used to shoot rabbits and foxes, and will need to be able to get to about 500 yards. The two obvious cartridge choices are the 204 and the 22/250,with a fast twist). The 6 PPC also looks very good, but it must feed from the magazine. So, can anyone offer any comments with regard to getting this round to feed from a HS Precision detachable magazine.....
