Howdy! New to the forum

Howdy all!
I'm new to the forum, and wanted to introduce myself. I have been interested in putting one bullet through the same hole since I was a child, and it doesn't look like the expenditures in pursuit of the same are going to end any time soon ;D
My current rifle is a Rem 700 chambered for .223. It's barreled with a Lilja 8 twist 3 groove MTU barrel, I reworked the bolt to reduce lock time, added a CG Jackson trigger to light the fire, and finally I nestled it all in a Whidden stock. It's scoped with a T series Weaver scope. It will deliver a 80 gr SMK downrange with significant accuracy if I do my part.....I moved from Alaska to NC a little over a year ago, and have been busy reworking my loads for shooting on the coast. I look forward to hanging around and learning all I can!

wow from Alaska to NC, I hope you don't mind humidity. In any case welcome and your rifle sounds like what I want for mine. I am shooting a 24" factory Sako in 1:8 and will look at a Lilja for a replacement when this shoots out. Welcome to the forum !

I'm getting used to the humidity, but miss Alaska and the wide open spaces
I would highly recommend a Lilja barrel, I really enjoy the two I have, and am looking to get another for an AR build

If you like wide open spaces then move to ND, I get claustrophobia when I visit MN these days.

Welcome aboard! I am a new member too and I just get on here and read and I am learning more and more each visit. I also purchased a .223 from a member on this site and the guy I purchased the rifle from was TOP NOTCH. Actually top notch is a huge understatement. He went above and beyond on the sale and made sure I was more than happy with the rifle before he took my money. He also helped with several questions I had and told me to call him anytime if I needed anything. I have also witnessed this type of help from just about every help question I have read on this site. I think you will enjoy!
