Howa bolt in a weatherby vanguard s2

Can it be done. Thieves broke into my car the other day and ripped out a lock box containing bolts to two of my rifles. One of them was my staino 308 vanguard s2. I'm having trouble sourcing a bolt but can find howas. The howa bolts don't go in as is but I was wondering if I swapped the trigger and components across as well if it will work and how much head spacing work is involved. I have a couple of howas in the safe and can make it work if its possible but will have to take it to a gunsmith for headspacing. Thanks in advance. Ben

I called weatherby direct and was given an outfit to one of their certified gunsmiths out of Colorado for getting another bolt for my S2 due to a faulty primer issue. He can get you bolts and headspace it, or just buy the bolt and have your smith do it. I can't remember the name or outfit, but if you called weatherby, I'm certain they'll point you in the right direction to get it squared away.

Thanks. I am in Australia though and the Weatherby importer here wants over $600 au for the bolt. They will only sell it to me if I send it in to them for headspacing at an additional cost. The shipping alone would be over $150 before the work is even done. The rifle only cost me $1100 brand new 18 months ago hence why I'm thinking about other options.
