HOw to time a revolver and cylinder?

Id like to see how this is done and the tools required.
Anyone know where i could fund thy type of information.

A short rundown. Remember what you do to the hand affects all the cylinders so be very careful not to go too far. Never do an adjustment to the ratchets but only if it's the last resort. It's easier sometimes to build up a whole new ratchet than repair the old and worn. A good toolmaker can do this job with ease but few gunsmiths can so you be the judge. Be careful who you choose, he can mess it up big time if he's not proficient at his trade. The main thing is be patient if the hand needs elongating or shortening. It can be time consuming if you're doing it yourself, but to get it right patience is a virtue. All cylinders must lock up the same so take your time.

PS. See how much slop their is in the cylinder periphally when the bolt is locked into the its nest. The bolt or the nest could be the problem, most likely the slot). Chances are if the cylinder locks up nicely on 5 of the 6 cylinders the 6th may have a bolt/nesting problem. Check the slot with a plug gage and make sure it's not too badly drafted on the sides.
