How to tell bedding vs glue in

I recently picked up this XP 100, it has a single action screw which would lead me to believe it’s glued in. However, on a rifle that I have that it’s bedding job was professionally done it fits very snuggly. I took the action screw out and lifted it up and it showed no signs of movement.

Is there anyway to tell for sure if it is glued? Unfortunately the previous owner passed away so I cannot ask.

I believe glue-ins were very popular when XP-100's were a thing.

But more importantly... if it feels glued in, it probably is.

Just needed to do a little bit more research and open my eyes, there’s an action screw hiding inside the action going from the top down

Custom actions have a trigger hanger that drops out the bottom.
Yes, but even if not...it takes what 15 minutes to remove a glue in? They are not as permanent as the name implies. Putting it back together is just a matter of scuffing it all back up and gluing it back together. No doubt a bedded rifle is easier to take apart and put back together but first of all, there just isn't a common reason to take it apart, especially with a trigger hanger. Second, it's just not a big deal to do. I'm sure you'll agree Dave.

Easier said than done. ;)
