I use an Atlas AccuShot BT10NC (no clamp) bipod that attach directly to an AccuShot BT10 AI spigot adapter. Both the BT10NC and the BT10 have a tightening screw. The BT10 affect how tight the spigot adapter is attached to the rifle but it also affects the degree of wiggle the adapter has. The BT10NC has that large knob on the bottom that affects the tension on the ball that affect how easy it is to tilt the rifle.
I have been using this combination for about 6 months now and have tried deferent degree of tightening of the above two knobs to give me a reasonable degree of freedom to level the rifle but yet not have it too loose but frankly have not been happy with the results – it tends to be either too loose or it gets stuck at an improper angle so that I have to fight it when I am trying to take a shot. The gun shoots well at distance despite this challenge but I would like to get a fix so that I can concentrate more on shooting.
So is there a right technique to using this combo – any help would be much appreciated.
