How to make Waldog brass???

A 22 waldog is the most accurate rifle I've ever shot. The one my friend had was for sale and I thought Id wait him out and get it a little cheaper. He sold it to a lady that never shoots it and it sits in her closet. I want it back but she wont sell.

Suggest you put this question up on the Benchrest Central forum. The Waldog had a following for a bit in the BR circles

I also owned a Waldog. Most accurate cartridge that I have ever owned. But, also very hard to make good quality brass for. I ended up having to bore the id in my lathe and then turn the od to size. Not for the faint of heart but doable. Very, very accurate and virtually no recoil.:D

I have a 22 Waldog that is 0.125" short. You will need to push the shoulder back 0.125" (many or most use a cut off 22-250 die), trim the brass to length and then neck turn the cases so the cutter cuts into the shoulder of the case some to eventually get rid of the doughnut. Many shoot a case that is 0.100" short and also call it the Waldog. You just need to figure out which case length you want. If you choose to go this root Ron Hoehn will make you as many cases as you can afford. There is someone here that provides the neck turning too (actually the full brass prep) but not sure if he does the case forming too. I think his name is laveritt. This round is amazingly accurate. Many believe it is as capable as the 6PPC but it will give up a little at 200 and 300 yards due to the wind. Next to the 22BR it would be my favorite varmint case design. With 40gr bullets you should get near 4000FPS.

Edit: You will need powders like VV130, H4198, Norma 200, and others in that burn rate range. Many will use VV133 but lately I have been using LT30 and it works as well as any powder I have ever used in this case. I also really like the H4198 but it does become a little temperamental in warmer weather. Pressure can build real fast with only a small increase in outside temperatures.
