How to get tru oil into grooves?

I’m about to begin the restoration project on this, once the sanding is completed how do I go about applying tru oil with the grooves? I don’t want it to be uneven in the grooves.

Tooth brush or an acid brush as used for fluxing solder joints would most likely work.

Agreed. If you are planning to rub down between coats, use a soft phosphor bronze bush. Wire wool may remove the sharp edges.

They're not that deep.
I've never used anything but my fingers (and surgical gloves) to apply Tru-Oil for a perfectly smooth finish.
Never had any luck with brushes. Too hard to keep a wet edge and not end up with overlaps and brush marks.
