How do you go about bushing the firing pin hole on a Remington 700 bolt? I understand the setup and the basic principle of what needs to be done but I am not sure of the proper tooling and procedure. After the firing pin hole is bored, is the hole threaded to accept the bushing then drilled out to just over the diameter of the firing pin? Is the bushing press fitted to the hole or epoxied in then drilled and the bolt face cleaned up?
I know the easiest way is the send it to GreTan and be done with it but I have several old bolts that I can experiment on. Thanks for the info.
