Got my new trigger, lightened up the first stage enough with the length of pull I liked. Lightened up the 2nd stage. Increased the sear engagement so it doesn't fire when closing the bolt. Now when I gently squeeze the trigger, I can actually feel the bottom sear sliding. I can get it to slide a bit, and stop, without firing. Congrats! I just introduced Creep. It's no longer a crisp trigger.
So I worked it backwards. Increased the 2nd stage to max, decreased the sear until it wouldn't fire on bolt close. Lightened up the 2nd stage. It's better, but still not perfect.
Any idea on the perfect way to adjust this? I'm more worried about creep, than I am lightness.
I watched this video here:
It seems to show I should first adjust length of the 1st stage, then weight of the 1st stage. Then I'm not sure. I can't actually tell what the 2nd stage pull force screw is doing.
