Well if you look at the plus side it will end the never ending debate on which caliber to get next, all we have to do is get a bb gun and tape whatever round we need on the end. If I go deer hunting I can tape a 30-06 on and with the same gun I can go prairie dog hunting and tape a 204 on the end.
A neighbor told me he heard it was a shotgun shell taped to the end of the barrel.
Obviously whoever wrote the article doesn't know firearms. Because at first it was said it was a bullet taped to the end. Then later in the article it was said to be a 40 caliber cartridge. I wonder if it wasn't a 410 shotgun shell.

Hard to say, he may have bagged the squirrel. Not clear. In fact he may have come home and cooked it for dinner. He did not break any laws as I read it. Another headline may have reported "Hungry man finds ingenious way to feed self after losing job."
When you read a "shooting article", you have to read between the lines. especially if you live in the Northeast US, where I reside. The news? -what the publisher tells the editor who directs the reporters to...report.
If the publisher hates guns... you get the story. "Idiots with firearms." There is an agenda to this. Don't feed into it.
