How much throat wear is too much? 6BR

I’m curious how the rifling process would effect throat erosion.
Could you expand on your post please?

I was speaking generically on that button rifled barrel life is typically a bit shorter than cut rifled barrel life.

If I had to guess as "why" maybe its because pullling a button through the barrel to create rifling makes a bit more stress on the surface of the steel than cutting the material away?

Barrel has been shipped out to be set back. I already have a new one coming but hate to just toss this one as its a really nice barrel and the rifling still looks great.
