How much of the neck do you size?

My buddy said only the first 3rd on fireformed brass. Do you size the whole neck or just part? How much?

I only do as much as I need to hold the bullet.

Joe, I normally size app. .150 of the neck and try to keep neck tension at .002 or less. I'm not a BR shooter so my credentials are limited. Bill

In my competition chambers, I want to size the necks just past the point where the base, or pressure ring, of the flat base bullet sits, or in the case of boatails, the body/boatail juncture.
Factory chambers and magazine limitations don't always have that luxury.

I think my 25-06 is good for another year.
I have picked up 243 & 308 varmint barrels to play with.
We can't get too complacent.
Stock class is a hoot. Wished more would play with us.
