How much MOA?

I've purchased a Sightron SIII and it has 50moa adjustment. I'm going to put it on a .243. Can anyone tell me how much moa adjustment I'm going to need to shoot this gun with this scope out to 1000yds.? Is it possible?

Wyo

You didn't list your bullet and velocity, but assuming a 105 going about 3100 fps at 1000' altitude, here's a Point Blank Software calculation.

Total drop at 1000: 284"

That's 28.4 MOA

Drop from 100-yard zero at 1000: 250"

That's 25 MOA "up" from 100 yard zero.

Assumptions: .530 BC, 1.7" scope height

I don't have the rifle yet but it will be a 1-10 twist and am planning to use 95gr bullets. Hope I can get the velocity, while retaining accuracy, to push it out to 1000 using this scope.

Thanks for the replies, Wyo.
