How long 6.5x55

This is like asking how long is a piece of string,but here goes.
What's the barrel life likely to be for a 6.5x55 swede?
I know the variables involved,powder charge,velocity, how hot the barrel gets. etc.etc.
But I'd just like approximate figures.I read somewhere the '96 Swedes would get around 5,000 rounds before a barrel was "shot out"[more than 30mm groups at 100metres]
I have a heavy barrel Sako in 6.5x55 it has 3,500 rds through it and still shoots 5 shot groups of 3/4 ins.[Sometimes less if I do my part]

Hard to say.You may reach 10,000 rounds or more,with normal loading and good care(cleaning).A friend has his Marine,Winchester, sniper rifle with a Hart 30-06 barrel that still shoots sub 1/4 MOA and has over 10,000 rounds through it,all max loads.
