How is the woodchuck hunting in MN

You see a few, most shot or trapped as nuisance control. Haven't ran into anyone who is "sport" hunting them. Very few on the large row crop farms, and the coyote love them.

As the title states, does anyone have experience hunting chucks in MN ? If so, how is it lately ?
I’m in west central part of the state, 2 hrs west of the twin crazies. I’ve hunted them with some pals in OH on alfalfa fields. We certainly don’t see them like that around here. Last one I shot was about 8 years ago, out of the wheel well of my pickup with a 22.

The only chucks I've seen were always around farm buildings, wood piles, old homesteads. I've never hunted them in the east but from what I've read chucks in the east are nothing like our domesticated midwestern chucks.

I'm in Northwestern Minnesota. We have nuisance woodchucks around the farm from time to time. Once they are shot out it's a good while before I'll se any. Gophers! Now that's a different story!
